Movement of the Week /// The Ring Support Hold

This week on the <<>> BLOG <<>> I am sharing a few coaching and training tips on the ring support hold in hollow! This is an amazing piece to add into your warm ups, skill/strength, conditioning, accessory work, and finishers. The amount of aboslute strength you build and develop through working static holds and positions is through the roof. Begin with 15-20 seconds at a time for 3-5 sets and build from there.

Coaching tips:

  • Keep your eyes on the horizon, chest up, and your body in a straight line holding hollow position
  • Rings should be set shoulder width apart and remain parallel to each other
  • Actively press your shoulders down and away from your ears
  • Keep your arms straight
  • To modify lower the rings and do floor assisted with tops of your feet pressed into the floor as needed
