Movement of the Week /// The Pike Box Walk with One Leg Extended

This week on the <<>> BLOG <<>> I am sharing one of my favorite handstand walk development drills known as the pike box walk with one leg extended! This drill is effective not only for developing your handstand walk, but also for strengthening, stabilizing, and mobilizing your shoulder girdle, thoracic spine, and trunk… enjoy!

Coaching tips:
  • Focus on keeping your arms straight
  • Block through your shoulder and scap to keep your shoulder girdle activated and strong throughout
  • Get as much weight over your wrists and palms as possible
